NEWS: Fox Announces New Scheduling - Terra Nova First Look

Fox has previewed its upcoming schedule and although there are no major surprises (with The X Factor and Kitchen Nightmares leading Fox's ''reality'' TV charge whilst Fringe returns for another run of Friday night episodes) there's a lot of push behind new genre show Terra Nova.

Produced by Stephen Spielberg and headed-up by Brannon ''Star Trek: Voyager'' Braga, Terra Nova began development last year and was announced as part of the upcoming Spring season, despite no cast being announced or episodes filmed. Fox plans to show the pilot as a teaser and then bring the show back for a full season in the Fall, which is certainly an odd way to build hype...

The basic premise behind Terra Nova is that by the year 2149, mankind has squandered the last of our planet's resources, with the Earth now overcrowded and polluted to the point of being unable to sustain human life. The solution? Travel back in time 85 million years. Because people traveling back in time certainly wouldn't disrupt the future evolution of mankind and you know, it's not like there were a load of dangerous, giant lizards wandering around back then...

Anyway you can check out the trailer at HotFix.
