SITE NEWS: Contributions Welcomed

Would you like to contribute to That Figures?

As regular readers will probably know, we used to run a feature entitled Fan Article that showcased the best in fan art, photography and custom figure production. Although Fan Article will continue to be a semi-regular fixture at That Figures we've spun-off two new features that give a similar platform to our readership's artistic skills.

The first of these features - Hot Pic - is centred around toy-based photography. The feature made its debut earlier this month with this contribution from longtime reader Jboypacman from Revenge From The Cosmic Ark, which illustrates the kind of thing we're looking for: toys photographed in interesting surroundings or in cool poses. Create scenes, set-up dioramas, add funny captions. The choice is yours.

Our other new feature - Custom Creations - also made its inaugural appearance this month and is a spin-off from the amazing work of GI Joe fan, toy customiser and previous Fan Article contributor, Snack-Eyes Barbosa. This feature showcases the best in  figure modification and toy customisation, whether it's kitbashing figures from other toys, repainting existing toys or scatch-building accessories.

Finally, as mentioned, Fan Article will continue to give a platform for all the illustrators out there, be their work in 2D or 3D, pencil or GI, paint or clay.

If you'd like to contribute to any (or all) of these features then please feel free to email us. Just remember to include your on-screen credit/name along with links to any other works you wish to share and - if you have time - a brief description of your work/inspiration.
