NEWS: Die Hard 5 Gets Official Title, First Plot Details Revealed

The title of the fifth installment in the Die Hard series has been revealed.

As reported by IMDB.com, Die Hard 5 will be entitled A Good Day to Die Hard. It'll be interesting to see if this title is used internationally, as the previous installment in the franchise Live Free Or Die Hard was simply entitled Die Hard 4.0 in Europe and Unkillable Happy Joke Cop 4 Computer Man Fright  in Japan. Possibly.

IMDB also has an early synopsis of the movie's plot.

Since the first "Die Hard" in 1988, John McClane (Bruce Willis) has found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the skills and attitude to always be the last man standing, making him enemy #1 for terrorists the world over. Now, McClane faces his greatest challenge ever, this time on an international stage, when his estranged son Jack is caught up in the daring prison escape of a rogue Russian leader, and father and son McClane must work together to keep each other alive and keep the world safe for democracy.

A Good Day to Die Hard is set to be released on February 14th 2013. Because nothing says ''Happy Valentine's Day'' like a wisecracking unorthodox cop shooting terrorists.

  2. I think Die Hard simply set the bar too high and is essentially the perfect action movie. Everything afterward just hasn't met the mark.
