NEWS: Tintin Trailer at Bleeding Cool

Hergé's Adventures of... Tintin!

From the bestselling books by Georges Prosper Remi - AKA HergĂ© (one for the Famous Belgians Game) - Tintin has quite the following in Europe but is relatively unknown this side of the Pond. That's all set to change however, with the release of the upcoming Spielberg-directed The Adventures of Tintin.

Penned by Stephen Moffat (Doctor Who, Sherlock), Edgar Wright (Director of Shaun of the Dead and Spaced) and Joe Cornish (The Adam and Joe Show, Ant Man) The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn (to give it its full title, as there'll no doubt be a sequel) follows young reporter Tintin (and his faithful dog, Snowy) as they investigate the mystery behind the treasure of Sir Francis Haddock. Imagine Johnny Quest with a more European flavour and you'll get the idea.

I can't say I'm a fan of the character but given the writing credits, it could be one to watch. Anyway, you can make-up your own mind thanks to the first trailer over at Bleeding Cool.
