Helena Bonham Carter is in discussions to join the cast of Disney's upcoming take on The Lone Ranger.
Helmed by Pirates of the Caribbean's Gore Verbinski, The Lone Ranger stars The Social Network's Armie Hammer as the titular hero. Pirates star Johnny Depp has already signed-up for the role of Tonto, who has a ''more prominent role in the story'' according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Reporter goes on to state that if she signs-up, Carter will play the Madame of the local brothel, who ''deals with gentlemen and scoundrels.'' Dwight Yoakam is also poised to join the cast as Butch Cavendish, the leader of the gang responsible for the deaths of the Lone Ranger's associates.
Shooting is due to start in October.
