Club Infinite Earths, DC Universe subscription-based collector club, will be going ahead, despite a lower-than-expected uptake.
Whilst fans of the DC Universe Classics line can rest assured that they'll be able to get their hands on the line-up of figures announced at the 2011 San Diego Comic Con, it does however come at a cost, specifically to non-subscribers looking to cherry-pick from the line on the day of release.
As Mattel explained:
In order to make the program work, we needed to raise prices for day-of sales. So if you are NOT a subscriber, you will be paying more for the figures on the day of the sale. The good news for subscribers is that you are locked in at the subscription rates previously advertised.
Mattel is also considering re-opening the subscription window, but as of yet no date has been announced.
We'll bring you more when we have it but you can read the full notice over at Action Figure Insider.
