We've previously brought you the news that ABC was working with Marvel to bring their not-so Jolly Green Giant, The Hulk, to the small-screen in a new, ongoing TV show.
Now we have rumours as to the show's direction and just who else may be appearing...
Warning - Spoilers Ahoy!
According to ComicBookMovie.com - who quote a tip to Comic Vine - producers Guillermo Del Toro and David Eick submitted a treatment that included The Hulk's nemesis... The Red Hulk.
For readers unfamiliar with the character, Red Hulk - or Rulk - was essentially Hulk-plus. Able to match him in terms of strength and unstoppable power, Red Hulk had the added advantage of being a master strategist and ruthless fighter who lacked the Hulk's moral centre. Red Hulk's true identity remained a mystery for a number of years and provided a huge boost to the comic's sale, as the readership tried to piece together the teasers and clues to reveal just who Red Hulk was. (And no, we won't spoil it for you.)
Could there be any truth to this rumour? Del Toro has stated in the past that he's a big fan of Jeph Loeb's run on The Hulk and Red Hulk was a huge part of that. Add to this that Del Toro has stated they'll be taking the show in a different direction to the movie continuity and the fact that seeing two Hulks battle each other would make for great TV and there's certainly a chance this could be true.
We'll be keeping an eye on this and will bring you more when we have it.
This could turn out to be awesome if this is true.
