I have to admit that the first Resident Evil movie is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. Yes, it's a silly hodgepodge of movie homages tied-together with the loosest of scripts but at least it attempts to remain vaguely grounded in reality, unlike the super-powered post-apocalyptic sequels.
Now it seems there's a fifth movie in the works and Milla Jovovich just can't wait to tell us all about it.
Bleeding Cool has been following Ms. Jovovich's Twitter feed and has pulled-together the various Tweets, videos and comments she's made over the last few days relating to the movie. According to the actor (and she should know, given her husband is the driving force behind the movie series) we can expect to see the following:

- Shawn Roberts is back as Albert Wesker.
- Milla and Sienna Guillory, who plays Jill Valentine, will have a big fight with each other.
- The plot sees Chris, Claire and K-Mart all being abducted by the Umbrella corporation.
- Milla considers one chase scene to be the most complex thing that director Paul Anderson has ever planned.
- Game characters Ada Wong, Leon Kennedy and Barry Burton will all be in the movie.
- The fans seem to want Jenson Ackles to play Leon, for some reason, but he’s not going to.
- The Las Plagas parasite will be featured.
Rumoured to be in 3D (again), Resident Evil 5 is set for a September 2012 release.
