The Time-travel action thriller Source Code may be coming to the small-screen.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, producer Mark Gordon and ABC Studios are developing a TV series based around the concept of the Source Code - a time-travel technology that allows the operator to ''jump'' into the body of others, thus allowing them to alter events and prevent disasters before they happen - in what essentially sounds like a disaster-of-the-week cross between Quantum Leap and The Time Tunnel.
Interestingly, Bleeding Cool has a little more on the proposed show, including the news that neither the movie's director Duncan Jones or writer Ben Ripley were involved in the process of developing the TV adaptation.
A pilot is expected to go into production next year, should the project receive the green light from NBC.
The movie was ok, but I agree that it would be way better as a series. Because the whole movie was just one mission.
ReplyDeleteSo long as they give each story time to develop, it could work as an episodic show. Who knows?
