If you've been following the coverage of the upcoming franchise-rebooting The Amazing Spider-Man then you'll probably be aware of the fact that the movie features the awesome Lee-Ditko-created protagonist, The Lizard.
Now two images have surfaced online, which may give us some insight into how the character will be translated from page to screen.

Yesterday Blastr posted the below image, showing two Pez dispensers from the seemingly obligatory movie tie-in line. On the left is the previously-seen Spider-Man and on the right, the first image of the movie's protagonist, The Lizard.
Now ComicBookMovie.com (courtesy of Spidermedia.ru) brings us this second image, this time allegedly from the movie's concept art.
It's interesting to see that the movie interpretation eschews the longer snout (and lab coat!) of the comic's design (which I think is a loss, as for me The Lizard is one of the most iconic Spider-Man villains ever) but I could certainly see the above concept working well on the big screen.
The Amazing Spider-Man is set for a Summer 2012 release.
Hopefully it makes the grade!
