Fans of Diamond Select Toys' Minimates who've a taste for the horrific will be pleased to see the latest additions to the Minimates Universal Monsters line.
The third series of Universal Monster Minimates sees Diamond Select Toys - as ever - launching a two-pronged attack, with a line of comic/specialty store-exclusive four-packs and Toys R Us-exclusive double-packs.
First up come these four-figure packs, themed around two of Universal's most famous movies, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Mummy.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame, released in 1925, starred Lon Chaney as the titular hunchback, Quasimodo. The pack features the bell-ringer in his regular garb and his King of Fools outfit, along with Esmerelda and Captain Phoebus.
The second pack is themed around the 1932 release The Mummy and features Boris Karloff's take on the cloth-swathed Im-Ho-Tep, his sarcophagus, Princess Ank-es-en-Amon and set-exclusive Helen Grosvenor. Both four-packs are comic/specialty store-exclusives.
Meanwhile, your local Toys R Us should be receiving the third wave of Universal Monster Minimate double-packs. Like the specialty store line, expect to see some exclusive figures here, including The Mummy's Henry Whemple, plus a special black and white double-pack of Quasimodo and Im-Hop-Tep.
Look for these figures in stores soon!
