Given that its opening weekend gross alone was probably equivalent to the GDP of a dozen small countries, it comes as no surprise to learn that Marvel is planning a sequel to its smash-hit super-team movie, The Avengers.
Although details are a little scant (and by ''scant'' we mean ''virtually non-existent'') Marvel has announced that he project will be going forward under the original's writer/director Joss Whedon. And that it'll be out on May 1st, 2015.
