NEWS: Disney Eyes Hasbro?

Marvel, Lucasfilm and now... Hasbro?

According to MTV Geek, the House of the Mouse is in talks with the world's second largest toy manufacturer with a view to a buyout. As they stress, this is still in the early stages of discussion - and it's still to be taken with a pinch of salt - but given Disney's recent acquisition of Lucasfilm and Marvel, it's not outside the realms of the possible.

The move would see Disney acquire the rights to some of the world's most recognized - and popular - toy brands including Transformers, GI Joe, Dungeons & Dragons, Nerf and Beyblade. Given that Hasbro is currently the toy company behind the Marvel and Star Wars lines - both of which are IPs now owned by Disney - it comes as no surprise to learn of Disney's interest in the manufacturer.

We'll bring you more when we have it.
