Podcasts

Episode 55 of the Action Figure Blues Podcast features a look at Medicom's Alphonse Elric from Full Metal Alchemist and the start of a new ongoing feature as the guys search for the Greatest Toy Line in History, starting with GI Joe!

Here's the third episode of Star Wars-centric Podcast Galaxy of Toys.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Lucasfilm has announced that the animated series, The Clone Wars, is coming to an end with the show's fifth season. According to MTV Geek the show is being axed in order to focus attention away from the old trilogy (and I never thought I'd be referring to the Prequels as the ''old trilogy...'') and instead toward the new, upcoming Star Wars Episode VII, with Lucasfilm animation moving onto a ''whole new Star Wars series set in a time period previously untouched.''
Star Trek Into Darkness
A new trailer? Don't mind if I do...

Avengers Assemble & Hulk and the Agents of SMASH
As the Cartoon Network's DC Nation seems to dwindle away (this weekend sees the series finales of both Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice) Marvel has announced the expansion of their  Disney XD superhero-themed programming slot, Marvel Universe, with air dates for the movie spin-off Avengers Assemble and the new Hulk-centric team show, Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.

The Earth's Mightiest Heroes are set to regroup on Sunday, May 26th in an hour-long special, followed by the show's regular run beginning on July 7th, with Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. set to premiere on August 11th.

The Simpsons Lego
According to the Wall Street Journal, 20th Century Fox and the Danish brick-manufacturer have been in talks with regard to producing a line of licensed Simpsons Lego sets. It's still early days - and the comments from both parties seems to indicate neither has done much beyond think ''hey, wouldn't it be cool if we did some Simpsons Lego?'' - but should anything come of it we'll be sure to let you know.
