NEWS: Masters of The Universe 30th Anniversary

Fans of He-Man, Skeletor, Trapjaw and... the other ones... will no doubt know that next year is the 30th Anniversary of the Masters of the Universe toy line. But what can fans and collectors expect to honour this event? Well, according to Licensing.biz - via Toyark - the answer is... well, not really that much: Mattel will continue the Masters of the Universe Classics line, costumes/roleplay gear from Disguise will be available and a 30th Anniversary DVD collection is set to be released by Mill Creek Entertainment. There's also talk of publishing partners being approached (so we can assume there's some kind of comic/book on the way) but beyond that it doesn't sound as if He-Man and pals are getting the short end of the stick.

Are you a MOTU fan? If so, how do you feel about this ''celebration?'' Do you think Mattel should be pushing the line back into stores? Or do you feel the Collectors' Club is the best approach? Let us know below!

  1. I would love to see this line back in the stores but i just can't see Mattel doing it as they are having success through MattyCollector.Com but one can dream.

  2. Yeah, I could imagine they'd do well, especially if they could get the show back on TV or something...
