Jason at Atomic Martians has posted a series of photos showing the upcoming Thundercats toys in their packaging.
Apparently leaked by an Ebay seller, the photos show three characters - Lion-O, Mumm-Ra and Panthro - as they'll appear when the toys drop later this month and an insight into the accessories provided with each. I was hoping for some kind of telescopic Sword of Omens, but it appears Bandai went with a long and short version of the weapon. Oh well.
Also of note is the ad for the ''Classic'' Thundercats toys at the bottom right of the package's back card.
The new Thundercats cartoon premieres on the Cartoon Network on the 29th of July.
Am still going back and forth on if i will buy any of these yet. I think i will get some of the "Classic" for sure but the new versions am not for sure just yet.
ReplyDeleteYeah, if the Classics are as nicely tooled/made as I remember the originals being they'd be worth picking up. I'm still not sold on the angular ''cartoon'' look of the new ones...
