Fans were shocked by the untimely passing of Doctor Who and The Sarah Jane Adventures star Lis Sladen earlier this year. The 65-year old actor had been battling cancer for some time prior to her passing and although filming was not completed on the fourth season of The Sarah Jane Adventures the BBC has announced it will be airing four of the proposed six adventures as a tribute to Ms Sladen.
At the time of her passing Ms Sladen had also been working on the first draft of her autobiography, which is now poised for release.
The book - simply entitled Elisabeth Sladen: The Autobiography - traces Ms Sladen's career from her earliest days of walk-ons and bit-parts in British TV to her ''discovery'' as Sarah Jane Smith, her work in theatre and then her return to the Whoniverse in the spin-off show The Sarah Jane Adventures.
