It seems every week somebody, somewhere tries to create ''the next Gogo's Crazy Bones.'' We've seen Squinkies, Squishlanders, Blinku Micro Monsters and countless other attempts to get in on the collectible mini-figure craze.
Now there's another name to add to the list as Australian toy company Moose Toys bring us The Trash Pack.
The Trash Pack is a line of over 100 collectible blind-boxed soft rubber figures (called ''Trashies'') with such wonderfully gross names as Garbage Gull, Putrid Pizza and Mucky Maggot. Rather than simply being blind-bagged, each set of Trashies comes in a trash can-style container. The most basic trash can contains two Trashies but multi-container sets - including larger trash cans - are also available. There's even a Trash Truck play vehicle!
Expect to see The Trash Pack at your local Toys R Us soon.
These look fun. They remind me of a mix of Garbage Pail Kids and M.U.S.C.L.E., I added a few packs to a recent Toys R Us order, should see 'em soon. BTW, they were giving away a free sample with alot of items.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sold on the idea of the trash can (I'd prefer another toy for the price, to be honest) but they could be cool. That's interesting about the freebie sample, though - thanks for that!
ReplyDeleteI saw these in the TRU catalog i recently got in the mail don't know what to think of them yet.
ReplyDeleteIf I see the starter packs I might pick one up. We'll see.
