As cool as the Dunnys and Munnys and Colorblanks are, there's always been one major flaw for me: their articulation. Or rather, lack thereof. So you can imagine how excited I was when I spotted this new line of customizable action figures, Blanx.
Standing at 3.75'' tall the Blanx figures feature an articulation set-up comparable to that used by Hasbro on their Marvel Universe line-up (right down to the ball hip and double-bend knee.) Unlike Hasbro's figures though, the Blanx toys come with interchangeable hands (three pairs in total) and a bonus ''masked'' head, so there are plenty of options for customization.
Although initially only the basic male buck is available, creators Go Native Toys have an additional line-up of body types planned, including the more muscular ''Superhero'', ''Big Guy'', the GI Joe enthusiast-pleasing ''Clothed'' and of course, the Female.
You can learn more about the Blanx line, see what other customizers have done with the figures and even order your own Blanx Alphas (for the very reasonable price of just $6.99 (plus S&H)) at the Go Native Toys website.
We'll certainly be watching this line with interest.
This is a pretty cool ideal!
ReplyDeleteYeah, in the right hands (i.e. not mine) I could see them being used to produce some very cool customs.
