Welcome to our pictorial preview of Hasbro's upcoming Marvel Universe releases for 2011.
A Note on Release Dates
Hasbro's track record for giving clear, precise and accurate release dates is pretty much non-existent. In an attempt to keep better track of announcements and potential release dates, That Figures now features a Release Dates section under our Resources listings. Although this Feature previews what Hasbro has planned for the future of the line, all potential release dates will be listed in the Release Dates section, as this will make keeping the information up-to-date much easier.
Series 3 Wave 3:
Clockwise from top-left: Dr. Strange, Scarlet Spider, Dr Doom, Falcon, Skaar |
Clockwise from top-left: Darkhawk, Steve Rogers, Ultron, X23, Namor |
No image is available yet of this wave, which is set to feature: Tony Stark Iron Man, Ice Man, Astonishing Wolverine, Ultimate Magneto and two Absorbing Man figures (standard/metal variant.)
Series 3 Wave 6
Clockwise from Top Right: Iron Fist, Psylocke, Storm, Patriot, Age of Thunder Thor, Shadowlands Daredevil |
Team Packs
The X-Force Pack
* Small-scale, non-poseable figure
A ''running change'' set will also be available, with the characters appearing in their Future Foundation white costumes. A Future Foundation Spider-Man is also planned as a single carded release.
Marvel Masterworks
Perhaps the most anticipated release is the follow-up to last year's amazing Marvel Masterworks Galactus in the form of the Masterworks Sentinel. Like Galactus, the Sentinel comes in two colour-variants and will ship with a regular-scale figure - who, if the packaging is to be believed (and there's no reason why it shouldn't be) is Wolverine (yawn). If the Sentinel is half the toy Galactus is, then this will definitely be the must-have of the year.

I guess these sets would be great for some one like me who only owns 3 of these figures so far. The Avengers one is the set out of the whole batch to be honest.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's a great idea for people wanting to boost their collection. It's just a little annoying that there will be pack-exclusive figures.
ReplyDeleteMarvel Team Up was a great book - so glad they decided to run with Captain Britain! I didn't know Wonder Man had a figure too - man I need to keep a better track on these things!
ReplyDeleteYeah I like how they're releasing some more obscure characters through these team-ups, too. I can't wait for the old school Power Man!
