Actor Nicholas Courtney died yesterday at the age of 81.
Courtney is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Brigadier Alastair Lethbridge-Stewart in the BBC sci-fi series, Doctor Who, a role he played over the course of 43 years alongside five of the Doctor's incarnations and, most recently, in the Sarah Jane Adventures.
The actor had been battling cancer for some time before finally passing away yesterday, with his wife Karen by his side.
The Brigadier: "Probably. I just do the best I can."
