Hitfix are reporting that Frank Miller's Batman: Year One is being adapted into an animated feature. Not only that, but they've got the scoop on the voice casting...
Developed by Warner Bros. Animation and helmed by Lauren Montgomery and Sam Liu, the movie - like the comicbook - goes back to Batman's earliest days as a crimefighter, retelling his origin with a more modern, hard-edged twist.
Ben McKenzie (The OC, Southland) will take on the Caped Crusader's mantle, with Brian Cranston (Breaking Bad, Malcolm in the Middle) as Lt. Gordon and Eliza Dushku (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dollhouse) taking the role of Selina Kyle/Catwoman. Katee Sackhoff meanwhile takes the role of Gordon's colleague Detective Essen.
Batman: Year One is set to hit theatres in the Fall and you can check the Hitfix article for yourself here.
With The Dark Knight Rises, Batman: Year One and the unnamed Batman reboot all coming out in the next year or so, it's certainly going to be a busy time for Gotham's guardian...
