Marvel's Asgardian Avenger, Thor, is set to return to the big screen.
With a release date of July 26th 2013, the sequel to the hit movie will see Chris Hemsworth reprise the role as Thor, although Kenneth Branagh will not be Directing and will return as a Producer only following a ''mutual parting of ways.''
There's no word on who'll be acting as Branagh's replacement, nor on a writing team but given the success of the first movie - which grossed $437 million - it's a fairly safe bet to say Marvel will be making some big announcements as development continues.
UPDATE: Deadline has since reported that Don Payne will be on scripting duties. His previous works include The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and My Super Ex-Girlfriend.

That's good news to my ears. Can't wait.

I've yet to see the first Thor. We always meant to go but it just slipped off the radar...
