Videogame developer and publisher Ubisoft is adding another notch to its belt with the creation of Ubicollectables.
Videogame industry trade magazine MCV broke the story that the publishing giant has created a new company dedicated to producing collectable action figures, statues and more, based upon some of their most popular brands, including Assassin's Creed, the Tom Clancy line of games and Might & Magic.
“UbiCollectibles are designed to give true fans something special,” Ubisoft's chief EMEA marketing and sales officer Geoffroy Sardin stated, “Each item is a custom-designed, limited edition, created to give fans an exceptional way to deepen their experience with their favourite Ubisoft universes.”
Available only through Ubisoft's dedicated online store, the first release from the new collectables company is Ezio's Fury, a statue based upon the popular Assassin's Creed franchise. Retailing at 265GBP, the statue is limited to just 2000 pieces worldwide.
