Laurence Fishburne is to join the cast of the upcoming Superman reboot, The Man of Steel.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Fishburne - seen most recently in TV show CSI - will be playing the role of Clark Kent's newspaper boss, Perry White. The 50-year old actor joins a cast that includes Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Michael Shannon (General Zod), Diane Lane (Martha Kent) and Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent) in the David Goyer-penned retelling of the Superman story.
Directed by Zack Synder and produced by Christopher Nolan, The Man of Steel is set for a June 14th 2012 release.
