If there's one thing cooler than Shark Week, it's Apes Week, which is officially now underway over at Plaid Stallions. Expect to see a stash of Planet of the Apes toys (from Mego and hopefully we'll see more of these ''awesome'' Azrak-Hamway/Remco offerings, too) and other ape-related merchandise.
I'm hoping to see the Dr Zaius belt buckle I had as a child. When that was worn with my Steve Austin-style safari suit, I was the hippest kid on the block. Oh yeah.
