NEWS: Street Fighter HeroClix

HeroClix - the collectible/table-top gaming series from WizKid Games - has expanded beyond the Marvel, DC and Dark Horse Universes with the latest addition to the line, the Street Fighter HeroClix.

HeroClix is a table-top war game system of collectible figures, all of which use a rotating dial base. During play, when a character is attacked, the dial is rotated to reveal their status and new abilities, which can then influence the turn of play.

As mentioned, DC, Marvel and Dark Horse characters have all made appearances in the HeroClix line but WizKids has now stepped outside of the superhero genre and signed-up with videogaming giant Capcom to create a line of Street Fighter HeroClix.

If that prospect excites you, then you need to check-out this feature at figures.com, where the newly-released Starter Pack is put through its paces.

I think I may have just found a new collecting hobby...

  2. I bought some Marvel ones a few years ago but the problem was that there were too many obscure characters for my tastes. Thankfully there aren't QUITE so many SF characters, so I might have to try them out...

  4. It's good that there's less chance of getting duplicates that way but at the same time, you want Spider-Man or The Fantastic Four or whoever, too.
