According to those who've read it, the Christopher McQuarrie script for the upcoming Wolverine 2 (or The Wolverine - we're still not sure about that) is excellent.
So of course in true Hollywood form it's being rewritten.
The script - which is based on the classic Claremont/Miller run - has been passed over to Total Recall and Jack the Giant Killer scribe Mark Bomback, according to Variety. Bomback seems to be Fox's go-to-guy when it comes to rewrites, with both Die Hard 4 and Unstoppable having previously received the Bomback treatment. Which makes you wonder just how bad those scripts must have been before Bomback's involvement...
No word yet on when we can expect to see The Wolverine but given these set-backs, fans of the clawed Canadian may have to wait a while longer...
