We brought you the news last month that Harry Potter director David Yates was planning a big screen reboot - described as ''a radical transformation to take it into a bigger arena'' - of the world's longest-running sci-fi show, Doctor Who.
Now Executive Producer Steven Moffat has offered his thoughts.
In a comment Tweeted earlier today, Moffat stated:
To clarify: any Doctor Who movie would be made by the BBC team, star the current TV Doctor and certainly NOT be a Hollywood reboot.
Quite where this leaves Yates and his big screen adaptation remains to be seen...
