Michael Bay has been discussing the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and - as you can see in this video - he dropped a pretty big bombshell. Probably in slow-motion, with somebody leaping away from it.
I'm a little bit in Tony's corner. I really like transformers, but they are not hallowed ground for me. So although I wish Michael Bay's transformer movies were better, and closer to the cartoon and comics, I don't have an immense hatred for the man because of what we got.
This, however, is not effing funny. Nickelodeon wants to put give them three toes? Okay, I don't mind that so much. Want to tweak their story every now and then? Whatever, I like to see different takes on the core idea.
But aliens? Coming from an alien race? They're going to be Michael Bay's version of funny and edgy? Remember this is the same man who gave us the funny edgy twins in TF2. This is the same man who will have goofy little kid poop and pee jokes, then hit us with drug humor and have his family-friendly robots call somebody a "pussy."
This whole thing is making my world spin, I think I'm getting sick.
See, I wasn't much of a TMNT fan so I'm not that bothered, as it's pretty meaningless to me. But at the same time I can understand why it's annoyed a lot of people.
