IN OTHER NEWS... 08/22/2013

IN OTHER NEWS... A potential Sherlock Season 3 airdate, Half in the Bag looks at X-Man: The Original Wolverine (or whatever), SyFy offers a double-whammy of shark-related awesomeness, Agents of SHIELD finds its UK home, plus a look ahead at upcoming episodes of Continuum and Siberia and more!

Sharknado/Ghost Shark

If you missed Sharknado the first (or second, or third, or fourth) time around then you'll get the opportunity to catch it tonight at 7PM EST as part of a special encore presentation that precedes what SyFy is - I'm sure - hoping will be a similarly ironic bit of cinematic entertainment in the form of Ghost Shark at 9PM EST.

Half in the Bag
Warning: Contains strong language and adult humor.

Sherlock
Cultbox reports that the third Season of the excellent Sherlock is to air on January 1st, 2014 in the UK (although the show's producers have since denied this rumor, so your guess is as good as mine...) No news on a Stateside date but given PBS's track record we can no doubt expect to see it sometime in 2039...
Continuum
Here's a preview of tomorrow's episode, airing at 10PM EST on SyFy, which - obviously - contains spoilers.

Agents of SHIELD
Bleeding Cool reports that ABC's Agents of SHIELD is to air in the UK on Channel 4. No word on when this will actually be but we'll keep you posted.

Siberia
Sadly there's no trailer available (yet...?) for Monday's upcoming episode, A Gathering Fog, but NBC has released some stills to give us an insight into what to expect from what's turned out to be one of the most watchable shows of the season.

There's still no word on a second season for the show but you can help show your support by using the Twitter hashtag #SiberiaSeason2. And if you haven't been watching then you can catch up on events in the show via your On Demand service or at NBC.com.
The Nerd Lunch Podcast
Here's Episode 99 of the Nerd Lunch Podcast.
Pompeii
Paul W.S. Anderson eschews zombies and sci-fi in favor of giving the James Cameron treatment to the last days of Pompeii in his latest movie, Jon Snow vs The Volcano. Cynicism aside though, Anderson's work is always entertaining (even if not always for the right reasons) and I'm sure Pompeii's disaster porn will be freaking EPIC.

The Skull Squad
Our resin-slinging buddies over at Goodleg Toys have just released the first teaser image for their newly-announced line of toys, The Skull Squad.
Nope, we don't know what they have planned either, but we're certainly looking forward to finding out...
