IN OTHER NEWS... 09/17/2013

And IN OTHER NEWS... The Walking Dead is to get a spin-off, a familiar face from the DC universe joins Arrow (and no, it's not The Flash), plus a look at the new Marvel Universe Baron Zemo and more!

Marvel Universe's Baron Zemo
Jason at Come, See Toys has been posting a few Marvel Universe reviews over the last week or so but when I saw his photos of this wave's ubervillain Baron Zemo, I knew I wasn't the only one who'd want to see more of this awesome-looking figure. So be sure to check out his gallery and review below!
The Walking Dead
AMC has announced that its hit zombiefest, The Walking Dead is to get a spin-off... of should that be ''shuffle-off whilst hissing loudly?''

According to Blastr, comic and show creator Robert Kirkman, will serve as executive producer on the new, unnamed show, where he'll be joined by David Alpert and Gale Anne Hurd, producers of the original series. Expect to see the show airing sometime in 2015 but ahead of that you can read more over at Blastr.
Face Off

Here's an extended preview of tonight's episode, airing at 9PM EST on SyFy.

Arrow
Michael Jai White is to return to the world of superheroes! The actor, probably best known for his title role in the 1997 superhero movie Spawn, is to appear in next season's Arrow, playing the recurring role of Martial Arts expert Bronze Tiger.
As you can see from the above image, Bronze Tiger's comicbook costume - complete with tiger head and animal stripes - has been eschewed in favor of a more Arrow-ish look, which I have to admit, looks pretty neat.
Heroes of Cosplay

Take a sneak peek at tonight's episode, featuring the return to competition for Yaya Han. Tune in tonight at 10PM EST on SyFy to see how the trailer has been edited to make things look more dramatic than they truly are.

Mattel's Post-Power-Con Update
Miss this year's Power-Con? Well don't worry, as Action Figure Insider has all the skinny on Matty Collector's upcoming releases, including Scorpia, Blade, the over-sized Battle Lion and more!

    1. I know. I've always liked a lot of the Marvel bad guys and I was pretty disappointed when Zemo showed up as a con-exclusive a while back. Good to see him in single form. Not that I'll see him anywhere. Our local stores seem to no longer carry toys that aren't Transformers and bad movie tie-ins!
