NEWS: Marvel Universe's Skaar at Chase Variant

In my opinion, World War Hulk is one of the best figures Hasbro has released in the Marvel Universe line-up. So you can imagine my happiness when I saw that Hulk Jr, AKA Skaar, would be joining his dad in the series.

Sadly I've yet to track-down Skaar for myself but until I do - and we bring you our Review - here's Chase Variant's take on the Pea-coloured Prodigal.*

NEWS: Marvel Universe's Skaar at The ToyArk

Yesterday we looked at the new figures from Marvel Universe's Wave 14 in their packaged form. Today we can bring you this gallery of Skaar, Son of Hulk, courtesy of The ToyArk.

Although the sculpt doesn't appear quite so detailed, it's good to see that Hasbro didn't simply recycle the World War Hulk figure in the creation of Skaar. Here's hoping (A) he's up to the same standard as his old man and (B) we can actually find him on shelves.

Betrayed by those he once called allies, and devastated by the destruction of a place he had come to call home, the HULK has returned to seek revenge. His massive stone starship hovers above the streets of Manhattan, and his alien army has turned downtown into a prison camp for the heroes of Earth. he will never descend to the level of those who betrayed him, but he intends to teach them all a lesson they will never forget.

NEWS: Upcoming Marvel Universe Figures

There's a rather nice video on Marvel's website in which former TNA star (and self-confessed Marvel geek) Christopher Daniels takes a look at some of the upcoming figures in the Marvel Universe 3.75'' line.

What's interesting is that if you look closely you'll see three figures that have yet to be officially announced - Captain Marvel, Spider-woman (Jessica Drew version) and ''Doc'' Sampson can all be seen in the line-up.

It's nice to see Marvel expanding the line beyond Fire-Attack Emergency Iron Man and Ultra-Aquatic Spider-man and introducing some more obscure characters into the mix.

As of yet, there's no release date or even confirmation of these figures but let's hope they'll be arriving soon!

EDIT: Although no date has been given, these figures are now listed on Wikipedia as being part of the ''Spring 2011'' wave along with World War Hulk (which can also be seen here, extreme left), Spider-man 2099 and Iron Man Bleeding Edge figures.
