Fans of re-dubbed and re-edited 80s Japanese cartoons rejoice! Voltron Force - a new series based on the original giant-mecha animated series - is set to premiere tonight on NickToons at 8:30PM, EST.
Mattel is set to release a series of toys to tie-in with the show in a two-pronged attack, featuring Classic Voltron toys sold via Matty Collector and a second line based upon the updated designs from the show, which presumably will be sold in stores. There's no word yet on a release date for these toys but we'll keep you posted.

ReplyDeleteI watched the first 30 minutes. For a show that's intended for kids it was very continuity heavy and I could imagine that would confuse a lot of younger kids, especially given the original series was show before most of them were born!

ReplyDeleteYeah, it was pretty poorly explained in a lot of places. I think kids would've been quite lost!
