The San Diego Comic Con sees Hasbro releasing three Con-exclusive toys. Click through for a closer look at each.
Starscream SkyStriker
It's an alliance of evil!
No, you're eyes aren't deceiving you (ha!) - that's Decepticon Starscream. A Con-exclusive repaint of the upcoming SkyStriker, this cross-over piece also includes a Con-exclusive Cobra Commander in pilot gear.
Zarana
Zartan's equally evil sister Zarana is also getting the SDCC-exclusive treatment, with not one but two versions of her being released, complete with accessories and retro-style packaging.
It's interesting that Hasbro always maintain that female Joes ''don't sell'' yet whenever the opportunity for a convention-exclusive arises, they turn to the ladies. Of course, the Con-audiences aren't the usual toy-buying market but it's still a shame we don't see more of the women of the Joeniverse.
The San Diego Comic Con runs from July 21st to the 24th.
Playing with both GI Joe and Transformers in my youth, I always longed for 1/18th scale Transformers to fit my GI Joe into. The Starscream SkyStriker makes that dream a 50% reality; now all they need to do is have a transformable version....
