AFFILIATE LINK: Godzilla 2014 Movie SH MonsterArts Action Figure

The King of Kaiju gets the SH MonsterArts figure treatment!

Based upon the character's appearance in the 2014 Godzilla movie, the figure sports a high level of articulation (including jaw movement), movie-accurate sculpting and stands at 6'' tall. Imported from Japan this figure will be available in November but you can get your pre-order in right now at Entertainment Earth.

AFFILIATE LINK: Giant Godzilla 2014 Action Figure

I'm sure we've all seen those oversized Darth Vader and Power Rangers figures in our local stores and thought ''yeah, they're nice... but... why?'' Well now here comes a figure that most definitely deserves to appear in giant format: the King of the Kaiju, Godzilla.

Based upon the terrifying titan's look in the upcoming US reboot/remake Godzilla, the figure stands at 24'' tall and features twelve points of articulation - including three in his tail! This figure is going to prove hugely popular with fans of the gorilla-whale but also collectors of Kaiju and movie monsters, so to avoid paying a monster-sized price on Ebay a few months from now, you can pre-order your 24'' Godzilla right now!

AFFILIATE LINK: Pacific Rim Kaiju 7'' Series 3 Figure Set

It took me a while to get around to seeing Pacific Rim but when I did I found myself - very happily - reminded of sci-fi action movies from the 80s. (This is my mini review and if you enjoy stuff like The Last Starfighter then you should really give Pacific Rim a watch, as it has that same kind of feel and is a movie with a straightforward, fun plot and some great action sequences.) As a result, I also missed out on the Pacific Rim toys, which is another thing I regret.

Thankfully NECA is continuing to release new figures from the movie, with the new Series 3 7'' Kaiju series smashing and bashing a path to collectors now. The set features the Trespasser and battle-damaged Knifehead figures, both of which come with movie-accurate sculpting and paintwork and over 20 points of articulation.

NEWS: Gorilla Mouth's Yuudoku Revealed

Curse my timing! Just hours after we posted the first images of the header art for the upcoming Yuudoku Kaiju from Gorilla Mouth/Max Toy Co, creator Troy Stith posted the first teaser images of the figure.

The above image shows the mutant monster in his resin master form but, as Troy states,''the next time we see him he'll be made of pure sofubi goodness.'' This final form will also include three points of articulation (at the waist and both tentacle), plus an interchangeable eye, meaning you can change his look to suit your mood.

NEWS: Butch Adams Kaiju - UPDATE

We told you yesterday about this awesome Kaiju from Butch Adams

Butch contacted us today to share some additional information about the toy, stating that ''the proto was shipped today to Japan and it will be at least 2 months before I see any pulls from the molds.''

So it looks as if we'll have to wait a little while yet until we see this funky monster on sale. In the meantime we'd like to wish Butch every success with this toy, as these prototypes look awesome and we can't wait to see more.

NEWS: Butch Adams' Kaiju

We told you last month about Butch Adams' awesome resin monsters. Now it's the turn of this very cool Kaiju to step into the spotlight.

With three points of articulation (neck and two shoulders) the figure is cast in solid red plastic (with a black wash/rub to accentuate all that beastly goodness.) No word yet on availability but in this post, Butch states that the figure will be going off to the factory to enter production sometime ''next week.''

We'll keep you updated on this one.
