TOY HAUL: 29th May

Following on from yesterday's Joetastic haul, here's what I chanced upon in Walmart during a grocery shopping trip. I still need Blowtorch and the Jungle B.A.T. to complete this Wave, but I did manage to snare a Viper and an Iron Grenadier, thus completing the previous Wave (in my mind at least - I passed on Croc Master.)

Expect Reviews soon.

TOY HAUL: 28th May

Today saw some great results:

A GI Joe Rockslide ATAV and Polar Sharc (thanks to Ross Dress for Less) and two Freaky Geeks from a Toys R Us vending machine (one of which I had but at least this is the fully-painted variant) started the day off well.

Billy's Comics and Toys yielded some great GI Joe finds: Deep Six, Shipwreck, a Crimson Neo-Viper and Sgt. Stone. Georgia collectors should make visiting Billy's store a priority, as not only is it amazingly-well stocked and competitively priced but shopping there is a pleasure thanks to the super-friendly staff.

In an effort to disprove my Collector Comment from yesterday, the God of Toys granted me a World War Hulk, Crazy Legs, Snake Eyes (Temple Guardian) and a Rock Viper (thanks to a random Walmart that - yet again - had stock no other store within 20 miles had.)

And in a weird moment of small world-ism, I also ran into fellow HISS Tanker Gyrapados at Billy's Toys and comics, which - bizarrely - wouldn't have happened had he not given me the tip off about Billy's new store in the first place...

All in all, a good day.

TOY HAUL: 27th May

I finally found - purely by chance - two of the cancelled Wave 3 Alpha Class Vehicles from The Rise of Cobra toy line at a Ross Dress for Less store. Not a bad haul but I'd hoped to find all four (neither of the Ross stores had the other vehicles, sadly.)

I also found (and passed on) the two X-Men: First Class Greatest Battles packs at Toys R Us. It was good to see some new stock there (finally!) although there was still no sign of the latest Marvel Universe or GI Joe Waves.

The Hunt continues!

TOY HAUL: 22nd May

Pickings have been incredibly slim this last month or so. With the Captain America: The first Avengers figures, the latest GI Joe wave and the Marvel Universe newest Series 3 toys hitting shelves, I must be in the wrong place at the wrong time, given how little I've been able to find.

Anyway, look for a Review of Gladiator soon.

TOY HAUL: 6th May

Disappointingly, Toys R Us store had no new GI Joes or Marvel Universe figures but thankfully yesterday's toy hunt did yield treasure in the form of five 25th Anniversary figures from Marshall's - for $3.99 each. ''Kiss my face!''

If you look closely you'll notice that Mutt's packaging is damaged (it appears somebody tried to open it) but thankfully everything is still in-place.

Expect Reviews soon.

TOY HAUL: 30th April

Apologies for the lack of original updates over the last few days. My camera died on me earlier in the week and today saw an epic Toy Hunt around a number of Ross Dress for Less, Marshall's, Toys R Us, Walmart and Target stores.

Sadly the pickings were slim (and I was annoyed to see the GI Joe Attack on the GI Joe Pit play-set in a Ross store ripped-open and the figures removed...) but I was able to score the latest wave of Greatest Battles Comic Packs, namely Deadpool vs Taskmaster and Wolverine (Patch) vs Silver Samurai (as pictured above.)

Reviews will be on their way soon...

TOY HAUL: 16th April

Although it may not be the biggest haul, it's a very successful one, as I finally found a V.A.M.P. After months of checking multiple stores numerous times per week (sometimes even per day) I was able to finally get my hands on this vehicle. Given that I found four on the shelves today, it would appear that there's been a restock at Ross Dress for Less that included the V.A.M.P.

TJ Maxx and Marshall's both appear to have been restocked, too, with a new stash of Mole Pods, Snarler Cycles and Sky Sweepers being present in the numerous locations I checked, along with the same 25th Anniversary figures (a selection of which I snagged, too.)

Reviews will follow soon.

TOY HAUL: 3rd April 2011

Another successful GI Joe hunting expedition!

From top left, clockwise we have the 25th Anniversary Wraith, Arctic Trooper Snake Eyes, Cobra B.A.T. and Rise of Cobra Desert-Viper. In the centre are the two Mechs - the Cobra Deviant (with Cyber-Viper) is the uppermost, with the Steel Marauder (with Kickstart) finishing-off the haul.

Reviews will be on their way soon.

TOY HAUL - 30th March 2011

I'm not going to attempt to list every figure here, but a few standouts include scoring (finally) a Marvel Universe Jean Grey, a 25th Anniversary Zartan and Baroness (Paris Pursuit), plus movie-versions of Scarlet, Heavy Duty, Breaker and Cover Girl.

Best of all, many were scored for just $5 each.

Expect to see Reviews of all soon.

TOY HAUL: 24th March 2011

Apologies for the limited number of updates today but I went on a toy hunting expedition. As you can see, I was fairly successful.

If you can't make it out from the above image, the full haul includes two comicbook double packs (Scrap-Iron and Wild Bill/Beachhead and Dataframe), six Rise of Cobra single carded figures (Shadow Storm, Cobra Commander, The Doctor, City Strike Duke, Delta 6 Accelerator Suit Duke and Jungle Assault Ripcord) and the two Rip Attack vehicles.

Look for Reviews of each soon!

TOY HAUL: 17th March 2011

Fresh off the UPS truck comes my latest GI Joe haul.

For those wondering, it's a Cobra Gunship (with red-helmet Firefly), Heavy Duty, Baroness, Snake Eyes and Neo-Viper five-punch combo of AWESOME.

I hope.

Expect Reviews of each soon.
