NEWS: Cheap Crappy Zombie Toys from L.Design

We told you earlier this week about this previously untitled zombie toy project but now Luke over at L.Design has released the first details of what he's now calling Cheap Crappy Zombie Toys.

Using the same philosophy as B-movie makers, where budgetary constraints are overcome with imagination and creativity, the Cheap Crappy Zombie Toys use - as the name suggests - cheap toys, which are then hand-painted and modified to create something new and brilliant. And these are the results. But be warned: they are quite graphic.

Luke plans on selling the figures at a local toy show this Saturday but he will selling the remainder via the Little Rubber Guys Forum - so check back next week for full details.

  1. This has inspired me to start modifying my PTE figures I have laying around

  2. I have to admit, when I saw Luke's plan I was a little skeptical but the end results are superb. You should totally give it a try!

  3. Nothing but fun! I was worried about the outcome as well... but they're pretty stinkin gory! These guys ended up making some great zombies & were a blast to do.
I'm actually doing pre sales if one can't live without them. Go to littlerubberguys.com or follow the link to the thread on the blog. $25 each shipped before tomorrow. They will be up at the show Saturday & then eBay later next week.

  5. Yeah I started by looking at crappy toys I had laying around.... but these guys just worked. This show is a real small once a month show so I don't expect a ton of traffic & I imagine it's more of a vintage toy type show... maybe newer toys but not so much hand made stuff but who doesn't like a good zombie? Some of these look pretty gross!

  7. Toy show was a bust sales wise but met some really cool people. So to celebrate an ill spent Saturday I decided to say screw it and post these suckers on littlerubberguys.com at $5 cheaper then they were up for at the barely attended toy show. Great people though so I will likely sell something there next time... just change up stock.

Cut and paste this in your browser for the gory details.

  8. Sorry to hear the show was a wash-out. Sadly I can't get the link to work and it returns an error message when I try...

Yeah I can't put links into comments... but it works if you cut and paste into the browser.

  11. Aaaaarrrrrggghhh! Now I see what you mean... that linkk does nothing.... if you aren't already signed into your Littlerubberguys.com account....
If you create an account and then go to that post you're in!
    Sorry everyone.... I'm a schmuck!
Guess this partially explains a lack of response outside the LRG community.
