Welcome to Sunday Best, our round-up of the best of the week's top News, Reviews and stuff you may have missed.
This week saw Reviews of the Thundercats 4'' Lion-O figure from Bandai plus the McDonald's Happy Meal Smurf, Greedy Smurf. With the 30th Anniversary GI Joe and the latest from the Marvel Universe line all hitting shelves, here's hoping the recent dry spell of Review-able figures is coming to an end...
In movie-related News, we heard some plot rumours for GI Joe 2: Retaliation, ran a few (rather guarded) interviews with the cast of Marvel's The Avengers, The Man of Steel's nemesis was revealed and we brought you details of the very worthy documentary project, Pray For Japan.
Finally, comes the pick of the toy News. Diamond Select announced a second wave of their awesome-looking Universal Monsters 7'' figures, Onell Design brought us yet more superb additions to the Glyos Universe, we asked for your help identifying these mystery robots and - in perhaps the most bizarre story we've ever brought you - the producers of Bravo TV's Work of Art announced that among this season's contestants would be toy renegade and master bootlegger, The Sucklord.
Happy Sunday!
Am excited about those Universal Monster figures and i really need to get something Gylos related maybe next year perhaps?
ReplyDeleteI saw the Mummy figure from Series 1 in TRU today but it was battered to hell.
ReplyDeleteAnd Glyos figures are great. Personally I'd get a couple (either Buildman or the new basic Glyans) and have fun with them coming-up with your own designs...
Yup i have the Mummy and Wolfman from series 1 but freaking missed out on the Creature which still bugs me! lol.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how i should go on these i think either way they will be nice to have.
Nice. Too bad about the creature though. He looked cool.
ReplyDeleteWhatever you get, get 2 (or more), as interchangeability is a big part of the Glyos system and the more pieces you have to play with, the more fun you'll have.
I picked up the Creature last year. It's a great figure, fantastic sculpt.
ReplyDeleteGood find, Jason. He's one I'd certainly have bought had I seen him.
