The rather awesome reboot of 80s classic animation The ThunderCats returns to the Cartoon Network this Friday. And fans of the original are in for an added treat...
In the latest episode, Lion-O and the rest of the ThunderCats encounter a mysterious race of beings fans of the 1980s ThunderCats show will be very familiar with... The Berbils!
As reported at TV Guide (courtesy of SFX), the new episode - entitled ''Berbils'' - sees the ThunderCats coming to the aid of a group of robotic beings with advanced engineering and robotic skills.
"When deciding to bring the Berbils back we agreed to not change their design or personality too much as they were some of the most memorable characters in the original ThunderCats universe," said producer Ethan Spaulding. "The appeal of the Ro-Bear Berbils is their unassuming look -- cute, furry, robotic teddy bears -- and their robotic voices. They look cute but are actually great builders and help the ThunderCats in many ways."
ThunderCats returns to The Cartoon Network on Friday at 8:30PM EST.
Return? How many weeks has it not been airing on Friday nights? I've missed several weeks due to other obligations.
ReplyDeleteIt's been off for, I'd say, about 2 months. Or so it feels. But yeah, quite a big break...
