NEWS: Battlegrip Reviews Hot Wheels Mystery Models - Cracks ''Blind-Bag'' Code

I have to admit that I'm not really - and never have been - a fan of toy cars. It's probably because I'm not a petrol-head, so the idea of collecting model vehicles has never really appealed to me. However, these blind-bagged Mystery Models from Hot Wheels - which Phillip at Battlegrip has just reviewed - are certainly a pretty neat idea.

Unfortunately, Phillip has also figured-out that the packs really aren't as blind-bagged as you might expect and it's possible to work-out which vehicle is in the pack by simply cross-referencing the reference number on the pack's front with the checklist on the rear. Bit of a boo-boo there, Mattel...

  1. Like you stated in your post, I myself have never been in to Hot Wheels or collecting vehicles either.

  2. Thanks for the link! For me, Hot Wheels are coolest when they're bizarre and not just simple and realistic car designs.

  3. JDubG - Yeah, I've just never really got into collecting cars. I'm not really a fan to be honest but the blind-bag thing is tempting...

  4. Phillip - no problems. Thanks for working-out the code! :)

And yeah, I've seen some of the more outre designs and some of them are more interesting.
