It appears that fans of GI Joe may spot a few additional familiar faces when Retaliation lands later this year...
The information below comes from the Internet Movie Database, a website that allows user-submitted information to be added to various movie projects and actor profiles. Although IMDb does attempt to validate the information provided, there's a chance that the following may not be 100% accurate, so consider this a rumour until we get actual confirmation....
Firstly, IMDb lists actor Eddie Hartigay in the role of Tunnel Rat. Whilst it may seem odd that the casting of a character who featured so prominently in the recent GI Joe: Renegades animated series could seemingly go unnoticed, keep in mind that the presence of Cobra Commander was something Jon M. Chu and his crew managed to keep under-wraps well into shooting, so it's not outside the realms of the possible...
Speaking of Cobra Commander, IMDb's entry also includes Faran Tahir - perhaps best known for his roles as Raza in Iron Man and Captain Robau in Star Trek (2009) - in the movie's credits, attributing the role of the chrome-helmeted terrorist leader to the actor. It's worth noting that his presence is listed as ''unconfirmed'' at this time but given there must be somebody under that face plate and nobody else has stepped-up to claim it yet, this seems as likely a bit of casting as anything else we've heard so far...
Finally, IMDb's GI Joe: Retaliation full cast list also features an appearance by stunt drive Jim Palmer in the uncredited role of Clutch.
How prominently Tunnel Rat and Clutch will feature in the movie isn't clear. Chances are they're simply ''background Joes'' not directly referenced by name and are only identified as those characters in the shooting script (especially given that Palmer's on-screen role is uncredited). We'll know more on the run-up to the movie's release this Summer.
