We knew they were coming, but now we can bring you our first look at the GI Joe: Retaliation Wave 1 figures.
As revealed at US Today, the first wave of figures features Roadblock, Duke, Cobra Commander, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Zartan (interestingly, not in his Presidential disguise), a Cobra Trooper, a Joe Trooper (which appears to be the movie's Steel Brigade soldier) and the Red Ninja.

Given how prominently Lady Jaye and Jinx feature in the trailer it's a little disappointing that they're not present in the first wave. Hasbro however promises more movie-based figures, plus a number of ''off-screen'' Joes and Cobra agents that are ''important to lifelong fans'' that will be released later in the year.
Whilst I'm relieved to see Hasbro didn't decide to ''revitalise'' the line by changing the scale (the above are all 3 3/4'' ''standard''-sized Joes) I have to admit I have mixed feelings about the designs. Some are great (Cobra Commander, the Red Ninja and Storm Shadow) but some (Zartan, Duke and the Joe Trooper) seem to be artistic reinterpretations of the characters, rather than movie-accurate recreations. Whether that's a good or bad thing I don't know but I'm certainly looking forward to seeing them for myself when the first wave of figures goes on sale on May 28th, just ahead of GI Joe: Retaliation's opening on June 29th.
Where's Bruce Wills? that would be the only figure i might be interested in.
