The latest additions fo Hasbro's Marvel lines - the Marvel Universe, Marvel Legends, Marvel's The Avengers and The Amazing Spider-Man - have also put in an on-floor appearance at the New York Toy Fair 2012.
First up, here's the Marvel Legends variant Wolverine and a look at the upcoming US Agent and Blade figures. I have to admit I'm not entirely convinced Hasbro doesn't simply have a Special Enlarging Machine and they're just putting the Marvel Universe figures into it to produce these ''new'' figures.

OK, so having seen the image of the Blade featured in the Cool Toy Review gallery I'm willing to give Hasbro the benefit of the doubt. See for yourself:
Fans of the Marvel Universe 3 3/4'' scale figures will be pleased to see a strong showing for the line, featuring a number of never-before-seen (at least in this range) characters, including Hercules, Scarlet Witch, Puck, Nova and a couple of new Spider-Man figures, including the classic ''paper-bag mask'' variant.
UPDATE: Comics Alliance has just posted a hi-res image gallery of the upcoming Marvel Universe figures, of which we present a selection below.
And here's a selection from Cool Toy Review's gallery:
Hasbro seems bent on conquering every single size of figure ever released with their Marvel's The Avengers lines, which include 10'', 6'' and 3 3/4'' scale figures.
Finally, The Amazing Spider-Man line features - as we'd expected - a number of Hat Ninja and Atomic Gardening Advice Spider-Man-type figures along with the ''movie accurate'' versions of the characters and what appear to be some comic-inspired figures (such as the Green Goblin and Black Costume Spider-Man figures seen in the centre of this image.)

"Can't wait for Wave 3 of Marvel Legends!!"
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I've been a little underwhelmed with the figures I've seen so far.
