NEWS: Amazing Spider-Man Minimates


I'm not entirely sure how I missed these mini-figures during the New York Toy Fair coverage, but thanks to The Blot Says... I've now been alerted not only to their existence but also to the fact that they look like a lot of fun.

Diamond Select Toys will be releasing five, two-figure packs (presumably for starters), a full listing of which you can see - along with images - at The Blot Says...

NEWS: Kwinn Cancelled... Again?


Fan-favourite GI Joe figure Kwinn was originally intended to be released as part of the GI Joe 30th Anniversary line-up. But just before the figures hit retail Hasbro announced that Kwinn - and the Data-Viper - would not make the final cut.

Hasbro assured fans that the figure would ''somehow'' make it, most recently stating at last year's New York Comic Con that he was being lined-up as next year's NYCC-exclusive figure. Now A Real American Hero brings us the news fresh from the New York Toy Fair that Hasbro has just announced they will not be attending the 2012 NY Comic Con.

The Bridge Direct will be releasing a line of toys and figures to tie-in with the release of Peter Jackson's two-movie adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. Although the company was in attendance at the 2012 New York Toy Fair, they were less than keen to share their wares (presumably to avoid spoilers and also due to licensing requirements) but thankfully, they were at least able to talk about some aspects of the upcoming toys...
