I'm afraid this particular boat has already sailed but it could be that a few lucky individuals may have managed to snag themselves the third Wave of GI Joe: Retaliation figures on pre-order.
As reported at the HISS Tank, Big Bad Toy Store updated their inventory listings yesterday to include the five and twelve-figure cases of the line's Wave 03. This third release of single carded figures includes the Red Cobra Trooper, Wraith (AKA CyberNinja), the Dragon Ninja (AKA Dark Ninja Warrior), the first female figure in the line-up Lady Jaye and early fan-favorite, Joe Colton. The twelve-figure case also carries over a number of figures from the previous Waves.
Needless to say, the pre-orders were filled very quickly and the listings show each as being sold out.
It was previously thought that Waves 1 and 2 would be the only Retaliation figures available until closer to the movie's new March 2013 release date. Did BBTS simply make an error offering the figures for pre-order at this time or will Hasbro be releasing more than just the first two waves ahead of the movie landing next year? We'll just have to wait.
