Hasbro has announced a follow-up to the Toys R Us-exclusive Marvel Universe X-Men boxed set in the form of a new, six-figure X-Factor collectors pack.
The ''limited edition'' pack (of which ''only'' 20,000 will be released) features an assortment of previously-seen characters and set-exclusive figures - both good and bad - with Angel, Cyclops, Jean Grey and Ice Man facing off against Mr Sinister and Apocalypse.
Check your local Toys R Us from the beginning of next month, where you should find this pack on sale for the RRP of $34.99.
I will be picking up this set as soon as I can. Love me some classic X-Factor. I wish they ditched the odd colored Sinister and added a red and blue costumed human Beast. Iceman with his power controlling belt and classic Apocalypse (kinda) are pretty great. Angel is probably my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a variant set with Cyclops with the white "x" (my favorite version of his costume), Jean with red instead of green, a furry Beast in lieu of Sinister, first appearance Apocalypse colors (solid blue costume-no black, maybe a more tan/lighter gray face), and Archangel as Death with full wings (maybe a vac-metal gold head? metallic pink color scheme). Maybe Iceman in his human form with the light blue costume or a fake Iceman that can be split in half to recreate the awesome Archangel scene
I'm still waiting on an original X-Men set, myself. I'd love a big-footed Beast and Marvel Girl figure!
ReplyDeleteMarvel Girl in her classic green dress and yellow mask is something I would love to get.
ReplyDeleteI'd be happy for any Beast other than Feline Beast
Agreed. I just don't like any other Beast but the original.
DeleteSaw this for the first time yesterday and grabbed it...at $44.99 (ugh). Love the Angel, like the Jean Grey, and dig the semi-translucent Iceman but his belt looks like an ill-fitting afterthought crafted from a kid's jewelry box.
ReplyDeleteI'm torn because on the one hand I do want Mr Sinister and Angel (I have the other characters in one form or another) and I know the former is available in a two-pack (although again, I have Gambit) and Angel will probably get a single carded release, too.
DeleteMy hope is Hasbro will release a First Appearance X-Men boxed set someday. Beast aside they've got just about everything they'd need for the line-up now...
