IN OTHER NEWS... SyFy signs a new ''sexy werewolf'' show, Thor: The Dark World, Viking mythology gets a 300-style makeover in Vikingdom: The Blood Eclipse, The Last Days on Mars mashes up every sci-fi/horror movie made over the last four decades and more!

Thor: The Dark World
Here's the newest trailer for Thor: The Dark World. I'm really not sure how much new footage is here but it's interesting to note that there's to be a ''sneak peek'' during next week's premiere of Agents of SHIELD (like you needed another reason to watch...!)

The Collector Connection
In case you missed the live broadcast, here's Episode 2 of the uberpodcast The Collector Connection.
The Last Days on Mars

I'm getting in there right now with this: The Last 28 Days on Ghosts of Mars.

Bitten
SyFy is to expand their roster of imported shows with the addition of Bitten, a ''sexy werewolf series'' from Canada.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, via Blastr:

The series follows Elena [the last female werewolf] as she attempts to escape a world she never wanted to be part of (as well as the man who turned her into a werewolf), abandoning her pack and taking refuge in a new city, where she works as a photographer and hides her werewolf existence from her boyfriend. When bodies begin turning up in her pack's backyard, she finds herself back at Stonehaven, the werewolves' ancestral domain, where she will stop at nothing to defend her pack.

In all honesty it sounds a little too similar to SyFy's other sexy supernatural sexy sex show Lost Girl for my tastes but then again, Continuum's initial pitch sounded pretty bad and we all saw how great that turned out.
Sleepy Hollow
I'm still struggling to figure out why this show's pilot was so well received (personally I found it a mess of half-formed ideas, ill-defined characters and too many moments of ''the plot requires it, so we'd better do it'' logic) but here's the post-episode teaser from the end credits that gives us a look at the upcoming second episode, airing at 9PM this Monday on Fox.

  1. Just watched the pilot and i rather enjoy the ideal of this show and where they are going with it but i agree it felt rushed do get everything across to the viewers so we shall see how it will fair out in upcoming episodes.

    1. I think the problem is it seemed to be too scatter-shot. Just stick to one or two good, strong ideas, rather than compounding it with layer after layer and then having them immediately added to.
