NEWS: Real Steel Figures At Retail Now

The Hugh Jackman-starring movie adaptation of what looks like Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots, Real Steel, comes with its own line of tie-in robot action figures. And as I can personally confirm having seen them yesterday, they're are on-shelves now.

We've already seen the English-language trailer for this hilariously inept moving story of a father, a son and their robot-boxing bonding sessions. If that left you wanting more then the Japanese trailer, which further explores the relationships between the three (and reveals that the robot fighter appears to have a ''soul''), is just what you need.

NEWS: Real Steel Toys

We've already seen the hilariously clichéd ''awesome'' trailer for Real Steel but now Entertainment Earth has the figures from the tie-in toy line.

Produced by Jakks Pacific (the same guys behind the pretty neat-o TNA Impact Wrestling figures we saw last week) the line includes Basic and Deluxe figures, ''Build and Brawl'' playsets plus a not-at-all-recycled-from-the-wrestling-toys ring. No word yet on whether the figures will have any kind of special ''play'' features but I wouldn't be surprised if they had some form of Super Punch Action or swap/construction aspect to them. Given their price, I'd certainly expect something.
