NEWS: Designer Toys 101 - Munnys and Custom Toys

Organization. It's something I really must master but with my busy schedule of complaining about things online, eating Cheetos, watching SyFy original movies and playing videogames, it's just something I never quite seem to nail.

So here's the latest two episodes of Spanky Stokes' Designer Toys 101. And given that each is pretty concise I could simply point out that I was waiting for a couple to accumulate, just so you weren't left hanging...

NEWS: Spanky Stokes' Designer Toys 101 Parts 1 and 2

We talk a lot about ''Designer Toys'' at That Figures (OK, maybe not so much as we do about GI Joes and Spider-Man, but they get their time in the sun, too) but some of you may be wondering just what, exactly, a ''Designer Toy'' is. Well fret no longer, as the guys at SpankyStokes.com have just started running a feature entitled Designer Toys 101 that will school you in all you need to know on the matter. Again, apologies for being late with Part One but at least you get a double-dose of knowledge.

NEWS: Ruckus and Ruckus Tallboy

These very cool pieces are Ruckus and the Ruckus Tallboy by Cris Rose and as seen at SpankyStokes.com

Available exclusively at the grand opening of The Toy Art Gallery's new location, these 4.5 and 6'' tall resin toys are limited to just 5 editions each.

The standard Ruckus is a companion bot, the bigger brother of Rotund Mk2. Created with older teens and 20-somethings in mind, this bot is swift, smart and athletic, the ideal upgrade for that outgrown Rotund unit. Ruckus Tallboy is the industrialized version, sporting upgraded strength and dexterity, as well as some additional processing power. Tallboy is the ideal working partner for Rostrum, handling parts and keeping everything moving. While Ruckus plays frisbee with his owner, Tallboy sorts recycling. Honest work all around.

NEWS: Chomp Bot #5 From Industria Mechanika

We've covered a lot of resin toys in the past at That Figures but there's also a slew of resin model kits out there that normally don't land on our radar, which is more a reflection on my inability to build a kit without gluing my eyeballs to the table than any lack of quality on their part.
